When I began composing music and writing songs my father took notice. He began to manage my bands and promote my songs. At 14 I became involved with a square dance and country band and found myself writing country tunes. My father took some of these tunes to Nashville, found an interested publisher, and by the time I was 18, I had songs recorded by Mel Tillis and George Hamilton IV. Other country artists such as Eddy Arnold also began to record my songs. Eventually I moved to Nashville, was offered a recording contract with MCA Records, and recorded and released a single of my own.

During my third year of college, I auditioned for and was hired to travel and perform with Charley Pride. He was at the height of his career and in demand for concerts around the world and on television. I performed concerts with him throughout the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe. We did guest appearances on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin, and countless others. I even got to perform with him at Ronald Reagan's 1981 Inaugural Gala which was produced by Frank Sinatra and hosted by Johnny Carson.

Eventually I grew weary of traveling and settled in Charlotte in 1983. My wife Cheri and I have raised 5 children together. After arriving I began performing for parties, wedding receptions, and corporate events throughout North and South Carolina. I also started a music company in 1992 that creates music for use in video and audio and am currently involved in numerous music projects. Over the past 20 years I've come to specialize in computer music composition. My clients have included Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Cisco. Other notable clients who use my music are The Video Professor and Create-A-Video. Hundreds of schools and universities across the US also have purchased my music for use in their media departments. To date I have created music for over 60 CD projects.
