FAQ
| Question: |
How long have you been performing in Charlotte?
|
| Answer: |
I moved here in 1983 from Dallas, TX and began performing locally. |
| Question: |
How many events do you play per year?
|
| Answer: |
I perform approximately 100 events a year. |
| Question: |
Why do you have a section specifically for weddings?
|
| Answer: |
Weddings and wedding receptions can be very involved. Brides have many questions and things change constantly through the planning stages. |
| Question: |
Are you a full time performer? Is it your only job?
|
| Answer: |
I actually consider myself "full time" at everything I do. I have played as many as 9 events in one week. I own a royalty free music business that keeps me busy. I do custom studio work and I also teach a few students. |
| Question: |
If I want to hire you or your band for my event, what is the process?
|
| Answer: |
We will discuss the event particulars by phone or email and I will issue a contract. For some events I require a deposit. |
| Question: |
What time will you arrive for my event?
|
| Answer: |
For solo piano events where the piano is supplied, I arrive about 20-30 minutes before the event start time. For events with equipment setup time, I arrive a little over an hour before the start time - sometimes earlier. |
| Question: |
Do I need to supply food for the band during my event?
|
| Answer: |
It would be wonderful if you did. We would play better and be happier! |
| Question: |
What about alcohol and the band?
|
| Answer: |
First of all - I do not work with musicians who have drinking problems. Since I don't have those problems in my band, I neither encourage or discourage it. I leave the decision to each member. Of course there is no drinking if it is disallowed by the event host or place of business. |
