Both my parents played the piano when I was growing up. My father played solely by ear and my mother played by ear and read music. I began playing by ear very early in my life so my parents sent me to a piano teacher when I was seven. I studied classical music and theory from that point on through college. I began playing for Sunday services at my small hometown church. The Beatles and 60's music came of age as I was becoming a teenager and I began learning all the music and playing in all sorts of bands. Eventually I learned to write songs and actually had a few recorded by some major recording artists in the country music field. As you can see, I like all kinds of music.
